Golf Cart Detailing at Folly Beach

Folly carts work for a living. They haul surfboards to the Washout, coolers to the county park end, kids and chairs down East Ashley Avenue, and half a beach's worth of sand back home every single trip. Where an Isle of Palms cart's enemy is mostly airborne salt, a Folly cart fights a ground war too: wet sand packed into floor mats, seat hinges, and every crevice of the rear-facing seat.

Sand is more destructive than it looks. It is abrasive, so it grinds finish off floors and scratches paint when it gets wiped instead of rinsed. It also holds moisture against whatever it sits on, which on a cart means mildew in carpet-style mats and corrosion in floor seams. Our Folly interiors get extra time on extraction and floor work for exactly this reason, and it is why the interior detail is the most-booked single service on this island.

Then there is the crossing. Every cart that lives on the east or west ends runs Center Street and the causeway over the Folly River, where the marsh air is thick enough to taste on an outgoing tide. Between the surf side and the river side, Folly carts get the full menu of coastal exposure, plus whatever the pelicans contribute along the way.

Getting to you

We stage in your driveway or the pad beside the house; Folly's compact lots are no problem since the van carries its own water and power. In season we route Folly visits for mornings, before beach traffic backs up the causeway, and we are glad to time service to your rental calendar if the cart turns over with the house.

Asked around Folly Beach

Can you get sand out of everything, really?

Out of everything that matters, yes: extracted from seats and mats, flushed from floor seams and hinges, vacuumed from the pockets and cup holders. Expect a stray grain to surface eventually. It is Folly.

The cart smells like a wet towel. Fixable?

That is mildew in the seats or mats, and it is the most common Folly complaint we get. Extraction removes the growth rather than covering the smell. On carts that hauled wet gear for years, we will tell you honestly if any foam is past saving.

Do you service the east end past the Washout?

The whole island, wash to wash. East Ashley, West Ashley, and everything off Center Street, with no trip charge anywhere on Folly.

Your driveway, our next stop

No trip charge on Folly Beach. Tell us the street and the cart and we will confirm a window.
